Block 16 Architects, is nearing completion on construction drawings for the Austin Stone Community Church's new building located at St. Johns and I-35, according to Principal Stuart Alderman.Collaborating with California-based design architects Visioneering Architects, Block 16 Architects is acting as the local architects of record on the project. Block 16 is using innovative Revit BIM software to produce construction documents that are extracted from the creation of a three dimensional computer model, according to Block 16 Architects Project Manager Wilson Robertson.
Austin Stone Pastor Dave Barrett explained in a recent church blog that the church is pursuing the same original vision for a flexible permanent worship space with a focus on non-profit ministry. However, the church has decided to renovate and adapting the existing retirement center instead of building a completely new building.
